We advise the public sector on financing strategy, issuance and project pipelines, independent of any lending book.
When the institution advising a sovereign on whether to issue also stands to underwrite the issue, the counsel and the commercial interest are not the same thing. We carry no balance sheet, so ours are. We bring the structuring discipline to the sovereign balance sheet - debt programmes, project finance, the instruments that fund national priorities - and we stand on your side of the table from the first meeting to financial close. We know the banks, and we bring the right one in when the moment comes. We are simply not one of them.

We advise and structure. Where the financing is executed, it is executed by licensed institutions, including IFB within our group. We never act as principal.
